Sometimes things don’t go according to plan and when that happens, All Head’s have made dealing with any problem simple and hassle free.

Because, we understand what it must be like to cop an angry earful from your customer especially when he’s stuck on the side of the road, with a problem you thought you had just fixed. And he’s so angry and frustrated that it sounds like he is going to climb down the phone and strangle the life out of you.

“They go much further than just giving away a free cylinder head. When I received my first free cylinder head, I found the rear spark plug thread was far too tight to screw the spark plug into. Nothing wrong with the thread just too tight. It was either risking pushing the thread in and having to take the cylinder head completely off once again or loosen the thread somehow. Let me remind you that this was my free head. I was really concerned about the possible warranty thinking to myself this will put them to the test. But we’re told the real stress happens when your reconditioner refuses to help ….. this must really rubs salt into the wound – because he doesn’t reckon it’s his fault. That’s when everything really goes pear shaped, that’s when it deteriorates into an ugly argument about whose to blame……. The problem with this confrontational approach is No one wins! Especially not you and more particularly not your customer!

So what do you do when you need help?

Often there is a simple solution to the problem so please call us, before you do anything. Don’t start undoing all your good work, hoping you can nut out the problem on your own. It’s not worth the aggravation.

In the unlikely event that you need some help, call and talk to our technical people first and please don’t assume your questions are too simple or silly. The thing is we specialize in cylinder heads and because of our extensive experience there is a very good chance we have already helped someone else with the problem you’re experiencing. And as we all know, it is much easier for everyone if the problem can be fixed on the spot.

I’ve stuffed up and I need your Help

“I was doing a timing belt on a Honda Civic, I stuffed up on the installation of the belt, the cam pully came off, and bent the valves and when I say bent the valves, every single one. I was able to source a cam and cam pulley from elsewhere, the only thing I could think of was to ring Mark at AHS. Mark immediately said “don’t worry I will look after you, just get the head to me as quickly as you can.” I gave it to my father to rush up to the factory. Mark did the head completely; remind you he didn’t have to do anything at all as it was my stuff up, but he did the head completely and supplied a full set of gaskets. All I finished up paying for was the valves I bent in the first place, and I got it back 2 days later. When I rang Mark asking for help I just said to him over the phone I’ve stuffed up and I need your help, if you can you can, if you can’t you can’t, I understand. Mark just said to me, “I will look after you the best I can.”

All labour was just given to me free, look being realistic its completely my stuff up. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. As far as I am concerned he has gone far beyond what I expected, let’s face it, it was my cylinder head and my stuff up.

The first thing we’ll do when you call us, is take a few minutes and carefully go through the issue with you. The one thing we like to do, is a clear understanding of the issues. This initial conversation is not about working out who to blame, it’s all about working out what’s gone wrong.

We’re all in this together…… and no matter who caused the problem our number one objective is to get your customer’s vehicle working again as soon as possible.

This definately is not the time to take sides or look around for someone else to blame. Sometimes there’s a problem with the cylinder head and sometimes there’s not. But what we all know is there is absolutely no point putting another cylinder head on to an engine that still has an unresolved issue. Because we know the replacement cylinder head will experience the same fate

  • Give him a clear description of your issue and we’ll work with you to find the solution.
  • Whether it’s a ‘No Fault’ Claim or a claim against us and there are costs involved, we will give you a claim number. When all the work has been completed to your satisfaction discuss the costs with the customer service person whose been looking after you. He will help you complete your invoice.
  • Submit your invoice for payment and please make sure you include your claim number.
