The AHS Exchange Process

Trade Customers & Capricorn Members

If you are a trade customer or Capricorn member, our exchange process may differ. Please contact us directly on 1300 41 61 81 or email sales@allhead.com.au and we'll walk you through it.

All Head Services is one of the largest cylinder head exchange specialists in Australia, with over 45 years in business. All of our remanufactured cylinder heads — sold online or directly — are supplied on an exchange basis. This means once you have received your remanufactured cylinder head and removed your original, the old head (known as the core) must be returned to us.

How Does It Work?

Receive & Fit Your New Head

Once you have received your remanufactured cylinder head and removed your original, you will need to send the core back to us.

Prepare the Core

The core must be completely free of all excess oil and placed in the AHS box your remanufactured head arrived in.

Return All Components

Any components fitted on your remanufactured head by us must have their like-for-like equivalents returned with the core. For example, if your remanufactured head was fitted with camshafts, your core must be returned with its original camshafts. If in doubt, call us.

We Organise the Return Freight

Contact us on 1300 41 61 81 or admin@allhead.com.au to arrange shipping. We will generate and email you the consignment notes — we use TNT Road Express for all core returns.

Core Deposits & Refunds

💰 Core Deposits

  1. All online prices for remanufactured cylinder heads are inclusive of a core deposit charge, listed in the product description.
  2. The core deposit is paid at the time of purchase.

🔄 Core Refunds

  1. AHS must be notified within 14 days of dispatch of the remanufactured head that the core is ready to be collected.
  2. AHS will inspect the core and determine at its sole discretion whether it is reconditionable. If not reconditionable, no refund will apply. If partially reconditionable, a partial refund may be provided.
  3. The cost of freight back to AHS will be deducted from the core deposit. If freight exceeds the deposit, no refund will be issued — you will not be charged any excess.

⚠️ Important Reminder
